Guideline & Rules


  • There is a nominal registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand Only) per team for selected entries. Team should not comprise of more than 4 participants.
  • Every entry at the initial stage should submit an abstract of maximum 300 words and a synopsis of maximum three pages comprising of:
    • Basic Idea
    • Relevance
    • Short description of the model
    • Cost estimation
    • Impact on society/industry
  • A One Page Coloured Handout containing the brief information about the model should be prepared by the candidates to submit to the jurors at the time of presentation.
  • The First, Second and Third winners can be identified from every theme.
  • Prizes for each theme may be scheduled to be of the tune of:
    • I Prize : Rs. 25,000/-
    • II Prize : Rs. 15,000/-
    • III Prize : Rs. 10,000/-
  • Certificate of guiding the project / model will be provided to the teacher guide.

General Rules

  • All participants have to present their institutional IDENTITY CARDS while reporting for the competition.
  • Bring Two Recent Passport size photogragh for preparing Indentity Card for the Event.
  • E-mail ID and Telephone Number of the project leader/team member is to be mentioned in the application.
  • Inter disciplinary projects are also encouraged.
  • The choice of the group is to be given by the students themselves in the Entry Form while submitting it. No choice/no change of group would be allowed thereafter.
  • Student studying in any discipline can send entry in any group .The choice of group should be made based on the model project and not on the branch of the degree course. (Ten groups - A to K have been listed).
  • Participants with Hobby Projects (Open to students of all semesters except final semester) can compete in the section OPEN CATEGORY.
  • Specimen copies of the ENTRY FORM and PROJECT DETAIL FORM are attached herewith.
  • Photocopies of the same may be used separately for each model.
  • All the participants of the project exhibition will have to report on the exhibition day at the venue and keep the models ready and working well before the specified time.
  • Participants reporting late will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
  • All students exhibiting a particular project should belong to the same institution and the number of students per project should not exceed four.
  • TA & DA will not be given to students and guides. (Respective institution may provide the same).


  • Participants are required to submit their project details as specified. The document should not contain the name of the College.
  • Related information like title of the projects, salient features, name of the institution etc. should be displayed in the stall for the benefit of visitors.
  • The projects will be assessed category-wise by a panel of judges from Scientists Engineering and Science Faculties, Industrialists and Research Scholars from various Scientific Organizations.
  • All the participants should be present with their projects at the time of assessment/evaluation and are expected to answer the questions posed by the judges.
  • The participants are requested to submit one hard copy and a soft copy of the Project Report, at the time of reporting.
  • The judges have full authority to disqualify a project exhibited in an incorrect group.
  • Certificate of participation will not be awarded for such disqualified models.
  • Organizers' and jury's decision on all matters will be final.
  • Participants present at the exhibition for all four days will get a Participation/ Appreciation Certificate.
  • Minimum of 10 entries should be present for a prize to be awarded in any group.


  • Students willing to present their innovative research work or ideas can give an oral presentation in these sessions.
  • Maximum 10 minutes will be provided a presentation.
  • An individual or a team can present their work using PowerPoint Presentation or charts/posters.
  • In case of a team presentation the number of participants in team should not exceed four.
  • A hard copy and a soft copy of the paper to be presented is also to be submitted.
  • Organizers' and jury's decision on all matters will be final.
  • Certificate of participation will be awarded for such presentations as well.
